eCropper processes all your PDF files
locally in your browser. Your files, label data, and customer information are
never uploaded to any server. We do not collect, store, or sell your data.
📋 1. Information We Collect
eCropper is a browser-based tool. The vast majority of the application runs entirely on your device with zero server interaction. However, to provide the service and maintain the website, we may collect the following limited information:
- Usage analytics — anonymous, aggregated data such as page visits, feature usage counts, and browser type. This data does not identify you personally.
- Contact form data — if you reach out via our Contact page, we collect your name, email address, and the content of your message solely to respond to your enquiry.
- Error reports — if the application encounters a technical error, an anonymous diagnostic report (browser version, error message) may be sent to help us fix bugs. No file content is ever included.
We do not collect your name, address, or any personally identifiable information unless you provide it voluntarily via our contact form.
⚙️ 2. How Your Files Are Processed
🔒 100% Local Processing
When you upload a PDF to eCropper, the file is read by your browser using the PDF.js library. Rendering, cropping, and PDF export all happen inside your browser tab.
At no point is your file transmitted to any external server.
This means:
- Your shipping labels, customer addresses, order IDs, and SKU data never leave your device.
- We have no technical ability to access the contents of your uploaded files.
- Once you close or refresh the browser tab, all processed data is permanently cleared from memory.
- No user account or login is required, and we do not create any profile associated with your usage.
This architecture was deliberately chosen to protect the privacy of your customers whose shipping information appears on your labels.
🍪 3. Cookies & Analytics
eCropper uses a minimal set of cookies and analytics technologies:
- Essential cookies — small tokens that remember your preferences (such as selected label size or platform) across page refreshes. These do not track you across websites.
- Analytics — we may use a privacy-first analytics tool (such as Plausible or similar) that collects anonymised aggregate statistics. No cross-site tracking, no fingerprinting, no personal data.
⚠️ Note on Ad Networks
eCropper does not display targeted advertisements and does not share data with advertising networks. If ads appear on the page, they are served through contextual (non-tracking) networks only.
You can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time. This will not affect the core functionality of the tool.
🔗 4. Third-Party Services
To provide eCropper, we load the following third-party libraries directly from CDN providers. These may set their own cookies or log your IP address as part of serving static files:
- Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com) — loads typography assets. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
- Cloudflare CDN (cdnjs.cloudflare.com) — serves PDF.js, jsPDF, and JSZip libraries. Subject to Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
We have no control over data practices of these third-party CDNs. We recommend reviewing their respective privacy policies if you have concerns. These libraries are loaded only to power the tool and do not gain access to your file contents.
🗃️ 5. Data Retention
Because all file processing is local, we retain no file data whatsoever. For other data types:
- Contact form submissions — kept for up to 12 months to maintain a record of support correspondence, then permanently deleted.
- Analytics data — retained in aggregated, anonymised form for up to 24 months for trend analysis.
- Error logs — retained for 30 days and then automatically purged.
👶 6. Children's Privacy
eCropper is a professional business tool designed for eCommerce sellers. It is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the European Union). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right to Access — request a copy of any personal data we hold about you.
- Right to Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data.
- Right to Erasure — request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten").
- Right to Object — object to processing of your data for analytics purposes.
- Right to Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.

🛡️ 8. Security
We take security seriously. Measures we have in place include:
- All pages served over HTTPS with TLS encryption.
- No server-side storage of file data — eliminating the largest attack surface entirely.
- Contact form submissions transmitted over encrypted connections.
- Regular dependency updates to keep JavaScript libraries patched against known vulnerabilities.
Despite these measures, no internet transmission is 100% secure. If you discover a security vulnerability, please disclose it responsibly by emailing us directly.
📝 9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify users via a notice on the main tool page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of eCropper after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
